Kids Tasty Speech by Johan Speaking Academy

"Is this even possible?" asked one of the parent.
"Are you sure, johan?" asked another parent.

Johan Speaking Academy had trained more than 1000 kids since 2014, to build their self-confidence through our signature Kids Public Speaking program. We believe in giving children a REAL-LIFE-EXPERIENCE. So we launched our new program called Kids Tasty Speech. What is Kids Tasty Speech ?

This 2-day program is for kids age 9 - 12 years old. First day, they will be in the classroom, practicing the fundamentals of public speaking and communication skills. Their task, to be managing the restaurant as a team.

Task
a) To be host and hostess to welcome guest at the front door.
b) To take order from customers. This is even better as many restaurants just throw the menu to you and you fill up the order chit yourself without people explaining the food & drinks to you. Our students explained the menu to the guest.
c) To take customer's order.
d) To get feedback and evaluation on their performance.
e) To get payment from customers.

Every step from (a) to (e) requires kids to speak up and communicate with people. This is what we are building them to be. A great communicator and one day become a great leader.

In Malaysia itself, many graduates could not speak up and fail their interview sessions when looking for a job. How do we solve this ? We have to start them young.

"Teacher, can we get our certs after serving ? " asked one of the students.

"Yes, you can. You have to do a final presentation in front of the audience," i replied.

At the finale, the kids presented a 1 min speech regarding their favourite food.

Everyone was so happy. The kids having a real-life-experience, parents for witnessing their kids breakthrough, the restaurant for providing a platform for the kids to shine, and of course to our academy, for the fulfillment in seeing those kids grow.

Kids Tasty Speech rocks !!
