We have heard of public speaking for adults. What about public speaking for children ? Yes, we are Johan Speaking Academy, located at Taman Tun Dr Ismail and we teach public speaking to children.
We started this business way back in 2014, and to-date, had taught more than 1000 kids to speak on stage.
In this blog, we will share 3 valuable tips on how to teach public speaking to children.
Tip 1 : - Always have fun
The last thing you want is a boring class. Thus, the teacher or facilitator has to be fun and outgoing. Adults and children and two different type of settings in terms of learning. If you are a trainer who trains adults in the corporate, this will be a new ball game for you.
Engage the children more and make it fun through various activities.
Tip 2 :- Give them positive feedback
Public speaking takes time to master. Thus, it is important that the child has a good environment to learn in. Giving them positive feedback is important so that they can make progress.
Tip 3 :- Practice
Like any other skills, public speaking is also a skill that need constant practice. Give them the opportunity to participate and also encourage the children to participate if they have the chance in school.

Johan Speaking Academy has trained more than 1000 kids to speak on stage since 2014. The founder Johan is the 2015 Peninsular Malaysia Public Speaking Champion. In year 2015 itself, he represented Malaysia to the World Championship of Public Speaking held at Las Vegas. He finished as the Semi-Finalist.
