It was an International Speech Contest. Nerve wrecking but it was a worthwhile trip. Each contestant will have to present a five(5) to seven(7) minute speech.
It started at the club level, followed by area, division and district. I was in District 51, which was Peninsular Malaysia. The district contest was held at Langkawi, Malaysia.

A short trip after the event
After that win, it was 3 months of preparation to the World Championship of Public Speaking. Las Vegas, USA. Caesars Palace ! A full 3 months of speech writing, speech practice, getting feedback and improving each and every day. The journey was a great learning experience.
